I began life with a cat in my crib, exploring the woods & neighboring ranches with my dog in Oregon. My family moved to Ben Lomond when I started the 5th grade, and I felt like we had come to the city. I had to leave my bone collection behind, and made a map to find all my buried animals, only accepting the big change because I knew having California Residency would make it easier to get in at my first choice for vet school. After settling into this seemingly bustling place, I fell in love with the Santa Cruz Mountains, and am happy to call this home.
My career started as a pet sitter, back when I still had rules for how far I could ride my bike, and I was excited for my first job at a local veterinary hospital during the summer before high school. I continued to gain various experience in general practice, emergency medicine and surgery, as I made my way through our public school system. After graduating from UC Davis in 2002 with my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, I planted my roots in Lompico, beneath the redwoods, where I could enjoy the beauty nature has to offer.
I embrace all aspects of being a veterinarian, building relationships with people and their pets as I go. I still sleep with a cat or two on my head, and go on adventures with my dogs, and I will continue to love & support this community.
